Old Town Books x M.M. LaFleur
Old Town Books recently faced the challenge of any bookworm’s dreams - to curate shelves and shelves of books by women authors!
You can now browse Old Town Books inside the gorgeous new Georgetown location of M.M.LaFleur. Read on for more from Old Town Books founder Ally Kirkpatrick about this exciting partnership.
I’ve admired M.M.LaFleur and their company mission, social impact, and of course their chic and perfectly fitted clothes from my days working a 9-5 office job in New York.
M.M.LaFleur has since been the backbone to my entrepreneurial wardrobe. When I went to the bank to apply for a line of credit for Old Town Books I wore my trusty black Moreland blazer. After I had my second daughter and went back to work the only pants that fit - bless that stretchy waist band - were my Colby pants. And for our first big literary event back in 2019? A friend gifted me a lovely blue silk dress from M.M.LaFleur, which reminded me of the marbled end pages of a book.
So it’s an understatement to say I was thrilled at the opportunity to partner with the creative minds over at M.M.LaFleur on their new Georgetown location.
Old Town Books has the pleasure of bringing hundreds of books to the main floor of their showroom. Literary fiction, memoir, and some non-fiction favorites - all representing a diversity of publisher and imprint, of author and perspective.
I think of it as an Old Town Books in miniature, condensed down into 96 shelf feet of our favorites. You’ll find shelf talkers with staff picks, book club selections, and titles from our reading guides.
This sampling of books also comes with a partnership in events - our team will collaborate on events programming throughout the year in the lovely light-filled second floor event space at the showroom.
