Dog Man Fan? Read These Next!

What a weekend we had!

Last week we celebrated Independent Bookstore Day. We broke in our new kids store space next door, where in September we will open Old Town Books Junior! There was dancing, there was Dog Man, there was a riotous rumpus of fun! Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was a truly special day.

One thing that was especially touching? Hearing from all the young readers about which Dog Man books they had read and loved best. The pride that radiated from their little faces! It was a beautiful sight.

To capture that excitement and budding passion for reading we’ve put together a list of Dog Man read-alikes. If your child loves Dog Man but has devoured the whole series, make sure you check out these titles below - they’re sure to keep tails wagging, and kids reading!

These titles were selected by our kids and teens book buyer Melissa LaSalle aka @thebookmommy. Make sure you follow her on Instagram for more great kids reccs!
