Summer-ween is here.

If you’ve spent about five minutes on certain corners of the internet lately then you’ve probably heard the term Summer-ween. It means just what it sounds like: starting to celebrate Halloween mid-summer, with no shame about it.

Book bloggers are in on the trend, and so are publishers. Seasonal books arrive months ahead of holidays so book retailers like us can plan ahead and merchandise displays. You should see our stockroom - it’s brimming with some of the most adorable fall themed kids books you can imagine, as well as plenty of spooky season picks for adults.

We don’t relish falling into rank with other retailers who skip ahead of the seasons to push holiday shopping, but with Summer-ween, we just can’t resist! The books are just that ghoulishly good.

Speaking of ghoulishly good, we have a fun event on the calendar for October this year: Keep an eye out for Ghouls Night Out on Tuesday, October 8th. Our haunted bookshop will have special snacks, promos, and even a fortune teller and tarot reader.

We wouldn’t want to ghost you….Tickets will go fast for this one - make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter so you don’t miss them going live.
