We Love Our Members

How time flies - our next member sale here at Old Town Books is fast approaching! Here’s a look at how the program started, and where we hope to take it: 

Our membership program started in 2019 when we were just a baby bookstore. Since then it has grown into a group of more than 100 book lovers. The $25 program saves you a seat at our quarterly member sale nights, where the bookstore is closed to the public and open to members only. At member sales, everything in the store is 20% off, books and gifts alike. We also bring out a special stash of “imperfect” books to browse. These books just might be the biggest hit - they’re items we’ve pulled from the shelves when they get a dent in the cover, or sunbleached in the window. But they’re still perfectly readable, and often the imperfections go unnoticed. But we love having pristine inventory, so our $5 book cart stays well stocked and has become a fixture at member sales. There is always a new treasure to be found! 

Member sale events are community gatherings we really look forward to - nights we get to mingle with our favorite regulars over snacks and drinks. They’re fun, social, and a great way to meet fellow bookworms. 

We sell most of our memberships towards the end of the year when folks buy them as gifts for others. Buy a membership for a friend, and we’ll send you a digital download to print and wrap up for a surprise.
